Brooke Burke admitted to having a love fling with partner Derek Hough while they were on “Dancing with the Stars.”
“If I hadn’t been married… “I was hoping we’d have a love affair,” she told fellow “DWTS” alum Cheryl Burke on Sunday’s episode of the “Sex, Lies, and Spray Tans” podcast.
Brooke, who was married to ex-husband David Charvet when she won the competition in 2008, revealed her attraction to the then-23-year-old Hough.

“When you’re a dancer, your body is interwoven with someone else’s. “I have never felt so connected — other than with a lover or a husband — as I did with Derek,” she said.
The entrepreneur, 52, remembers the couple rehearsing and performing every day for three months in close proximity.
“So you’re in someone’s arms for three months.” “How do you believe people fall in love?” Brooke elaborated.
“Making love on a dance floor can be more intimate than making love in a bedroom; you feel more connected.” If you have energy, you’re performing this dance and getting into the rhythm, and then there’s trust, sharing fear, and doing something you’ve never done before. How often do you have an experience with someone where they are all you have?”

Brooke admitted that all of the intimacy led to her “crushing” on Hough, despite the fact that they first failed to connect as partners.
“He was very tough and very hard on me.” Tough love is fine with me. He did not love me through routines of support and telling me how wonderful I was. “He was brutally honest,” she described him.
In Hough’s personal life, the 38-year-old current “DWTS” judge married fellow dancer and longtime love Hayley Erbert in August.
During a lovely wedding in Monterey County, Calif., the newlyweds exchanged vows in front of 160 guests.
They had been dating for over seven years before saying “I do.”
